Today, Karen Ellis (or keyah_coach on Instagram) is sharing what sports bras work for her.  

Tell us about yourself and running/working out:

I run 4 to 5 days a week, plus teach yoga, pilates and total body fitness 6 days a week. I then walk most evenings with my husband. I try to run 1000-1200 miles a year. I love being active. 

What do you look for in a sports bra:

Good fit. I’m small on top and need good fit and support. Many people think of you are small fit doesn’t matter. But you still need good support and fit. Before anything else, I must like the fit for running and teaching, then I need good quality as I use them A LOT. 

Do you deal with chafing or skin sensitivity? 

I chafing on thighs only in shorts, thank you body glide lol. 

My top four sports bras:

Champion - found cheaply on Amazon it’s s great snug but breathable fit, wears well, can be worn as my running top or underneath without bulge. They wash and dry well and have lasted years for me. They cut and style look great and stylish. 

Handful - love every style. They fit well, lol great, support through any workout or run and even are great under tee shirts on sweaty summer days. Great wicking, colors and styles. 

Lululemon free to be bras-  love the great fit. I love the strappy back, colors, and feel of this bra. Fabric is soft, thin straps that never dig and actually fit like a bra! 

How do these work with Koala Clip?

I’ve not had one bra out of my 30-40 bras from cheap to high quality not work with koala clip. I’ve been amazed at how well and solid and non-bouncy this clip is. Like it’s almost my mission to find something it doesn’t work with lol. No matter how strappy, thin, low or high quality, old or new the bra is, my clip stays put and no matter how sweaty, and I’m a big sweater here in Tampa weather, nothing is wet or moves. This thing is truly amazing and I’m honestly shocked how great it is. I get stopped all the time being asked about it!! My clients constantly hear my rave about it.
