Rochester, New York, September 2018: Koala Clip LLC, which launched its innovative women’s running accessory Koala Clip in 2017, just celebrated its first anniversary.
“I created Koala Clip out of my personal struggle to find a comfortable way to carry my phone while running,” Kristina Powell, founder, shares. “It’s hard to believe, last summer I was learning how to sew to bring this idea to life and now we are celebrating our one year anniversary with thousands of women using Koala Clip across the world.”
Koala Clip was created by a mom and runner with no sewing experience or business background, just a deep desire to create a solution to carrying a phone comfortably without discomfort or irritation. Using a $50 sewing machine and a group of friends, Kristina launched Koala Clip from her kitchen table working evenings after her kids were in bed.
Koala Clip is now carried in 10 stores throughout the US and thousands of women worldwide carry their phones in Koala Clip. Each Koala Clip is handcrafted in the United States.
