Q1: Who are you? Describe your work, life, and sport of choice.

My name is Jenna Henry.I’m originally from Texas but I moved to Joplin, MO in 2007 to become an Educational Talent Search Advisor for Crowder College. I help potential first- generation college students navigate their journey from middle school to college! I live with two adorable cats who are full of personality.

Q2: What is your sport of choice? How did you get started with it? Do you compete in races, if so what's your favorite distance?

I ran my first half marathon about 10 years ago without ever even running a 5K after attending a staff development at work. I love ultrarunning and my favorite distance is 50K.

Q3: What is your driving force behind your sport?

I love the challenge of tackling new, longer distances. In a normal year, the social aspect of running is also motivating factor because I love meeting up with all my friends.

Q4: What are three words that people use to describe you?

Sassy, impatient, fierce

Q5: What is your favorite thing to listen to while working out (music, podcast, audiobook, etc)...or do you prefer to go without headphones?

I love listening to music while running!

Q6: What is your favorite meal or recipe?

I don’t cook much, but one of my favorite easy meals is putting shredded chicken, blue cheese, green onions, and buffalo sauce over a bowl of quinoa.

Q7: Name a book you recommend to all your friends?

Beartown by Fredrick Bachman is my favorite!

Q8: What is your secret pleasure TV show to indulge in?

I love all the court shows, especially Judge Judy!

Q9: Last question - what are your favorite workout shoes?

I rotate shoes frequently. Right now I’m loving my Altra Escalante Racers, Sketchers GOrun Ride 8, and New Balance Fuel Cell TC.
