When you get to the point of a run or a race when the effort is real, your brain is telling you to slow down or stop, when you need to focus on putting one foot in front of the other - THAT IS WHAT YOU CAME FOR. A mantra that helps turn negative feelings and thoughts into positive actions. The pain, the focus, the drive that is why I trained, sacrificed and showed up daily.
